Blue Sky Thinking:
One of the best things about the latest travel trends is that people are taking new innovative measures to keep traveling alive.
One ambitious project is Blue sky thinking, where NASA is working to develop a Quiet Supersonic technology to reduce the explosion produced by planes,
allowing the supersonic jets to fly close to land. This was previously limited because of the noise caused by the supersonic boom.
Another innovative project on which NASA is working is to develop the first Carbon-neutral spaceship. The plan is to start traveling to space by 2024, flying with a high-tech helium balloon.

Summer Travel Breeze
One good news is that countries like New Zealand, Samoa, and Brunei have announced plans to reopen their borders. Malaysia and Martinique [a Caribbean island] have eased their covid restrictions for traveling. China’s gambling hub Macao has also reduced its covid restrictions.
However, the travel problems continue in Europe and the US; London Heathrow and Amsterdam have announced more curbs on air traffic & the Covid risk is high in many locations such as Romania and Moldova. Due to this, Flight attendants have been vocal about this unsustainable and shambolic state of summer air travel.
Spotlight on Asia
Maya Bay is a beautiful cove in Thailand’s Andaman Sea that has started to welcome all tourists from January 1, 2022, 2018, after the massive rejuvenation program. Right now, the boats are forbidden to enter the bay.
Since cannabis was decriminalized in Thailand in June, new cannabis cafes have been opened! One of the biggest reasons behind Maya bay’s popularity is the reference to the movie “the beach.” Visitors are unwilling to damage the bay’s coral reef, which was closed for a massive rehab project. But, it is once again open for travelers.
Japan also lifted restrictions on international tourism in June, but more than 1,500 leisure tourist spots have shown up in the first month of opening!

Countries like Abu Dhabi have more than 50 degrees Celsius temperatures during the summer. However, many countries/cities are better at handling extreme summers than others. Abu Dhabi is also implementing innovative measures to take the heat!
